Linkpolish removes share tracking from supported social links. No account is required.

Links and network requests

Direct TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and X URLs are cleaned locally in your browser. TikTok short links are sent to the Linkpolish API hosted on Vercel, which requests the link from TikTok to resolve redirects. The API can also clean directly submitted URLs. We do not write submitted URLs to application logs, maintain a link history, or use a database to store your links.

Website analytics

The production website uses Google Analytics for Firebase. Analytics is on by default unless you previously turned it off in this browser. Development, preview builds and the Chrome extension do not initialize analytics. We measure page views and counts of successful cleaning, failed cleaning and copying. We do not send submitted or cleaned social URLs, clipboard contents, form values, error messages, URL query strings or referrer URLs as analytics event data.

While analytics is on, Google processes browser identifiers, device/browser information, interaction timing and network metadata. Analytics may use cookies and browser storage. Advertising consent and ad personalization are disabled. See Google's privacy policy. You can turn analytics off without losing any functionality using the Analytics toggle below. Turning analytics off stops future collection; it does not delete data already received by Google.

Vercel and social platforms may process network metadata such as IP addresses and request timing under their own policies. Cleaning cannot erase tracking already recorded when a share link was created or opened.

Chrome extension

Opening the popup grants temporary access to the active tab. The extension checks supported post URLs and, on TikTok feeds, reads visible post elements. It checks while the popup remains visible and stops when it closes. Direct URLs remain on your device. Only TikTok short links require the resolver.

Clipboard and storage

The clipboard is read only when you press Paste and written only when you press Copy. Results exist in memory while the page or popup is open. We do not save links to browser storage. The website saves your analytics preference locally; while analytics is on, the Firebase/Google SDK also uses browser identifiers and storage. Preferences apply to this browser and website domain, not across devices or domains. Clearing browser storage resets the preference. If saving preferences is blocked, a change applies only to the current page. Your browser and operating system may separately keep browsing or clipboard history.

Limits

A clean URL is not proof that content is public or accessible. We do not bypass private accounts, login walls or deleted content. Removing URL tracking does not hide accounts, cookies, IP addresses or the sender in messaging apps.

Limited use

URL, tab and clipboard information is used only to provide link cleaning. We do not sell it or use it for advertising. Our use of this information follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
